This is really two books in one. Firstly, it is a book for children, to explain to them what mothers do and why they cannot be with them as much as they wish. It is a story of a child wishing that the mother was an octopus so no matter what the mother has to do, the children can still have one tentacle all to themselves.
Secondly, it is a book for mothers, to acknowledge what they do, and to find some humour in their busy lives. The story is of a mother dreaming she is an octopus with eight tentacles doing it all easily and enjoying special time with her child/children.
The Barker twins are about to go to school for the first time. Morgan and Moffat can’t wait. They buy school bags and other necessary items. Finally the day arrives and it isn’t quite as they expected. As the first week at school unfolds, their concerns disappear and each of the twins has settled well into school.
This is a delightful story of twins beginning their school life - it is a must read for any multiples about to go to kinder or school next year.
Poppy is so excited that her mum is going to have twins and she can’t wait for them to be born. But when the babies come, things don’t turn out quite as Poppy expected and her life is turned upside down! Will Poppy learn to get used to life with the twins and realise that whatever happens she is still Mum’s little Princess?
The CD plays the story with music and sound effects. There is a sound for every page turn so young readers can join in.
